An academic and medical professional specialised in the field of Molecular Medical Microbiology, Dr Faisal Saad Al Majed currently serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Microbiology, in the College of Applied Medical Sciences of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He also serves as the General Director of University Relations and Media Affairs for the same institution.
Dr. Al Majed began his career following an internship in clinical microbiology training at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in 2005-2006. Following his internship, he advanced to the position of Medical Technologist in Transfusion Medicine at the same institution, and later held a similar post at the King Abdul Aziz Medical City – National Guard, Health Affairs.
Dr Al Majed has a long relationship in academia; he holds a variety of specialist degrees including a Ph.D. in Molecular Medical Microbiology from Nottingham Trent University in the UK, a Master’s Degree in Molecular Medical Microbiology from the University of Nottingham, Master’s Degree in Medical Education from King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from King Saud University.
He holds a number of US-recognized certifications that include licensing in vaccines from the University of Pennsylvania, and Virology from Columbia University.
