Amin Hasbini joined Kaspersky in 2013 as a Senior Security Researcher and is now the Head of the Threat Research Center in the META region & Global Research and Analysis Team. He is charged with threat intelligence discovery, investigations on advanced cyber-attacks, as well as publishing a number of cyber security researches which have received very good media attention. He also developed non-published private research documents in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa, as well as research development and knowledge support at the regional office in Dubai, UAE.
Prior to joining Kaspersky, Amin had acquired around five years of experience. He was a Senior Information Security and Privacy Consultant at Deloitte & Touche Middle East and before that a Security Network Engineer at DataConsult Lebanon. Amin led many infrastructure, security consulting and penetration testing projects for government entities, banks and service providers especially in the Middle East and the GCC region. He is also a trainer for information security courses, like Forensics and malware analysis, EC-Council Ethical Hacker and Cisco CCNA Security.
Amin is specialized in Cyber Threat Intelligence and targeted attacks mitigation. He has a Professional Master degree in Security of Networks and Systems (Saint-Joseph University, Lebanon) and finished his PHD at Brunel University London in 2019. He also has different certifications from GIAC, EC-COUNCIL, CISCO, EMC RSA, Harvard Business Publishing and British Standards Institution.
